Head of enterprise
Clive Lewis is a chartered accountant (FCA) and a chartered management accountant (ACMA). After qualifying in public practice he spent twenty years in financial controller/ director roles in various sized businesses mainly in the electronics sector. Prior to joining the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) in 1993, he was finance director of a quoted electronics PLC.
Clive is currently head of enterprise at ICAEW and has conducted a number of surveys on business issues including the annual ICAEW Enterprise Survey, now in its seventeenth year. He has represented the ICAEW at the British Bankers’ Association Business Finance Roundtable and on the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills’ (BIS) Small Business Economic Forum Working Group.
He writes regular articles for the media based on feedback from surveys and ICAEW members, as well as his own experience in business.
