Ed Reeves

Co-founder Moneypenny

Ed Reeves co-founded Moneypenny with his sister Rachel Clacher in 2000. The company is now the UK’s leading provider of telephone answering and outsourced switchboard services, handling more than 15 million calls and live chats a year and employing more than 750 members of staff in the UK and US. Ed remains responsible for the overall strategic direction, advancements in AI and technology and for ensuring the company maximises its opportunities whilst staying true to its core values.

Prior to founding Moneypenny, Ed travelled the world competing in numerous water sport events which provided an ideal outlet for his competitive spirit and active nature. Returning to the UK, he quickly established a small graphics business, which as it grew gave him the need, and idea, for an outsourced PA service - and Moneypenny was born.

The active nature and energy that gave him success in the sports arena was quickly translated into a passion for growing the Moneypenny business. Initially throwing himself into all aspects of the business, Ed soon realised that success depended on delivering exceptional service and the ability to see his business from a client’s perspective. This approach, coupled with his sister’s passion for creating a business you would like to work for, ensured a winning formula and a successful business rapidly grew.

Knowing what it is to be a client, remains central to Moneypenny’s success today. Under Ed’s leadership, the company has won numerous awards, including being one of the youngest companies ever to be awarded The Queens Award for Enterprise and to be recognised by ‘The Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For’ six times with two top five listings.
